Our range of coaching programmes enable individuals to develop, practice and extend their coaching skills.

Whether you are new to coaching or wanting to enhance your existing skills we have a choice of open programmes or the capability to deliver bespoke coaching programmes for your organisation.

Our open courses run at regular intervals throughout the year and are residential on our Brathay Estate in Cumbria.    Bespoke coaching courses can be run from any location to suit your organisation.

Our Coaching Leader Programme

As a manager, supervisor or team leader with responsibility for staff development ; a trainer, consultant, or facilitator working with individuals who need to acknowledge, confront and make attitudinal changes in their personal and professional development; our programme will enable you to develop the skills and competencies of an effective coach.

The programme focuses on approaches for use in formal or informal coaching conversations to assist the coached in making decisions and taking action.

Working alongside delegates from other organisations with similar levels of responsibility you will: 

  • Explore the role of the coach in the context of your work
  • Appreciate the power of coaching and the benefits for your staff and the organisation
  • Be introduced to theoretical models which underpin the coaching process 
  • Be provided with a variety of practical coaching tools and techniques 
  • Practice and develop your coaching skills, and receive feedback on personal style
  • Gain greater confidence and competence in handling difficult staff 
  • Increase your ability to facilitate improved performance in staff 
  • Develop actions to apply coaching skills in your workplace

Advanced Coaching Programme

As an earlier attendee on our Coaching Leader Programme or a practitioner with an alternative foundation in Coaching and Mentoring you will be keen to review your individual progress and to develop your coaching practice further.

This programme will build on earlier work and support you to develop your coaching practice further.   There will be plenty of opportunity to review progress and to raise issues for clarification and discussion.

Working alongside participants from other organisations with similar levels of experience and responsibility you will:

  • Review your coaching experience and skills, identifying what is working well for you and where you find challenges
  • Benefit from opportunities to practice using the GROW model and incorporate further tools and techniques
  • Develop powerful questions which help unlock the potential of the coachee
  • Select appropriate interventions to distinguish between the presenting and underlying issues
  • Use techniques to move the coachee from 'stuck' relationship issues
  • Explore the psychodynamics of the client-coach relationship
  • Receive feedback on personal style and approach
