Due to the developing situation regarding the Coronavirus pandemic, we have taken the very difficult decision to close all our centres and offices for the time being.
During this period of crisis, Brathay is operating on a core staff team, working remotely from home. Please direct any questions or information to email@example.com
Please note that many of our staff have been furloughed and may not answer emails and phone calls directed to them.
We will continue to follow official guidance; the safety of everyone involved in our programmes, both young people and adults, is our number one priority. That is always at the heart of our decision making.
It goes without saying that we are devastated that we will be unable to continue delivering our usual full range of important residential and community programmes with children, young people and families at this very difficult and worrying time for everyone.
We remain committed to young people and their wellbeing during this challenging time. For this reason, the majority of our core staff are workers remotely supporting young people and their families and we will continue to sustain this support for as long as it is needed and sustainable for us to do so.
As soon as we possibly can, and following Government advice and guidelines, we will be fully operational and working with our partner organisations and the young people who need our help and support, to improve their life chances. Following what is clearly a hugely difficult and upsetting time, our work supporting wellbeing will be even more important than it already is.
Our staff team are what makes us what we are, and able to deliver the community and residential programmes that help more than 7,000 young people a year to become empowered to make active choices that benefit them and the people around them. It’s a very hard time for all of us right now, with many of our team furloughed whilst we anxiously await developments.
If you can support us, please do – we need your help. Please visit our main website at www.brathay.org.uk and click the pink Donate button (it’s in the dropdown menu on mobile devices) and give whatever you can. Thank you.
We wish you all the best for you and your families.
The Brathay team.
